Inquiry Info Troops' Behoviour
MELBOURNE, Thu. (1 p.m.).—The Minister of the Army (Mr Chambers' has refused to order a public inquiry into charges of immorality and blackmarketing among Australian troops in Japan. He said he would held an inquiry, but not a public one, and would then ask the chaplains-general to visit Japan with complete freedom to enquire into every aspect of the conduct of troops as raised in the allegations.
