Easter Holiday Bookings Heavy
Easter holiday bookings in Whangarei are again heavy this year. Buses to Auckland for Thursday, March 25, were fully booked half-an-hour after bookings opened, and shortly afterwards seats in extra cars up to the full capacity available were taken. Travel to the Bay of Islands and the Far North for Easter is fairly heavy, but the rush is not as noticeable as the exodus to Auckland. Air travel is in keen demand, with long waiting lists on most runs during Easter. Train bookings are also heavy, but there are still seats available.
