i Social Justice ; Session Replaced
The social justice session broadcast from the ZB stations on Sunday nights until it was discontinued recently, will be replaced by a citizens' forum from the local station.
This was contained in a letter received by the member for Marsden (Mr Murdoch i from-the Minister of Broadcasting (Mr Jones).
Mr Jones said that the session was abandoned after the matter had received considerable thought, and it was the considered opinion of the department that the scope of the session was not sufficiently wide to warrant continuance.
The Minister said that he felt sure that listeners would appreciate a session in which they, as individuals, could take an effective part. Mr Murdoch hod presented a request from a number of interested listeners who wished the session to be continued.
