Floating Mine Sn Boy Of Islands
A floating mine which was found in the sea near Urupukapuka Island, in the Bay of Islands, yesterday was towed ashore in a heavy sea by Con stable J. Gibbs, of Russell. Constable Gibbs anchored the mine on the beach, where it will be demolished later by a naval officer and a military party from Auckland. This mine is the fourth to be found in the vicinity since the end of the war.
