Afghans Will Not Leave Kashmir

LONDON, Thu. ' (1.30 p*m.)—An Afghan chieftain, Abdul Latif Khan, who spoke for 15 chieftains representing 225,000 tribesmen, welcomed the Pakistan Premier (Liaquat Ali Khan) to Khyber and told him that the 60,000 raiders in Kashmir would never withdraw, says The Times correspondent at Khyber Pass. Abdul Latif said they would assist the United Nations Commission but would not accept any decision contrary to their present policy to continue the Kashmir fight until Afghan blood was avenged. Kashmir belonged to the Afghans, who,- after its conquest, would guarantee the safety of Moslems and nmdus but kill all Dogras and Sikhs. Liaquat Ali Khan, who had hoped to persuade the tribesmen to leave Kashmir, later stated they had ‘agreed to differ.”
