RESCUE

AUCKLAND, Thu. — Two children, a boy and a girl on holiday at Huia, on the Manukau Harbour, had a narrow escape from drowning yesterday when they fell intoithe channel of the Huia Stream while paddling. Their screams attracted attention and they were rescued after they had collapsed and lost consciousness.

A passing motorist helped to give artificial respiration and later took the children to iheir home.—(Sp.)
