HOLLYWOOD. Wed.— The producer Samuel Goldwyn today told .the United Press correspondent that “motion pictures are facing disaster unless the quality of pictures is doubled and costs are cut in half." In criticising the industry he said that it was a startling indictment that with employment in the United States the highest in its history, box office receipts were going down. “We must have a revolutionary change in our methods and objectives,” he said. “Inefficiency must be rooted out in high places as as in - other ranks.” * e.
