Over 1000 Migrants For NZ Next Month
WELLINGTON, Wed. (P.A.)—The Minister of Immigration (Mr McLagan) stated today that more than 1000 new settlers from the* United Kingdom are arriving by the Atlantis and the Rangitata during the first week in February. It was not yet possible to say how many people would be allocated to the various districts Further details were being awaited from London, but the widest distribution would be made throughout the whole of New Zealand. Employment within districts would be where it would be appropriate. It would be arranged by district offices of the Immigration -Department in consultation with employment advisory committee for various industries. >
