Confessed Opium Addict Fined £75
WELLINGTON, Wed. (P.A.)—Admitting being an opium addict and claiming that lie was a very sick man and it was essential that he should have the drug. Ah Wah. aged 53. pleaded guilty to permitting his premises at 1 Haining St., to be used for the making of opium. At Wah, who had three previous convictions in regard to opium smoking, was convicted and fined £75.
