SYDNEY, Week (12.30 p.m.).—The record wool prife for Sydney of lOfPd per lb. was realised at a successful sale in which the United States, Ihc Continent, Yorkshire, and Australian mills were in full competition. The previous Sydney record was 101-jd. The highest Australian price for the current wool season was 117 d paid for one bale at Melbourne on November 19. The all-time Australasian record for gieasy wool was 153£d at Launceston on January, 1947. At the Sydney sales American buyers bought large quantities of finer types.
