Petrol Thieves Surprised At Napier
NAPIER, Wed. (P.A.)'.—Surprised in tlic act of stealing petrol from a storage tank at Bay View, near Napier, at 3 o'clock this morning intruders made oil', leaving two cars behind. One car was alleged to answer the description of the car reported missing at Auckland recently. The other, believed to have been stolen from Hastings, contained a heap of clothing which was stolen from dry-cleaning premises in Hastings and elsewhere. No trace of the intruders had been found to midday.
