Export Franc PARIS. Tue. <lO a.m.)—The French Finance Minister (M. Mayer) leaves on January 16 for London to seek British approval for the creation of a devalued export franc to boost France’s sagging exports. The French Government is discussing the creation of an external franc, devalued from the present rate of 480 to the £ sterling to approximately 960 to the £ sterling.

The ship swung in with a swell and caught the boy, who screamed for help. Watersiders, who were sheltering from rain, quickly responded and the boy was rescued uninjured.

M. Mayer will discuss with the British Government methods of increasing and facilitating trade between the sterling and franc currency areas.
