The Titoki Women's Institute members were the guests of Mrs Farrow for the December meeting. The president (Mrs Fraser) presided over a very good attendance. Tiie roll call was “A Christmas Thought.” and the Golden Thread. "Women of Japan," was given by Mrs I. Fraser. 1 A donation was given by each member towards a Christmas parcel to be sent to the son ol' a member who is in hospital. A Christmas hamper was forwarded to the Potter Memorial Home. The programme was placed in the hands of Mrs Clarkson and Miss N. McLeod. First was a group of three' Christmas carols, sung by all members. A competition, nursery rhymes. was won by Mrs I. Fraser. Mrs Pearson gave a humorous monologue, "When Johnnie Comes Marching Home." A second competition, "Know Your Geography," was won by Mrs Hucker. A short ailiele on how the Christmas carol, "Silent Night.” came to be written, was read. The institute choir sang tiie carol. Competitions resulted: Man's buttonhole: Mrs I. Fraser and Miss P.
