Liberals Against Wallace Candidature
NEW YORK, Sun.—The New York State committee of the Liberal Party unanimously decided to reject Mr Henry Wallace’s candidature for the Presidency of the United States on the ground that it could “serve only toweaken the Democratic and Liberal forces of our country.” The vice-chairman, (Mr D. Dubinsky) said clothing', automobile and steelworkers’ unions which had left the American Labour Party because of its endorsement of Mr Wallace’s candidature would be invited to join the Liberal Party.
