TJURSUANT to the provisions of the Dog Registration Act, 1908. and amendments, public notice is hereby given that the registration fees for the year 1948. shall be as follows: Sheep and Cattle dogs, not exceeding three, kept solely for the purpose of herding or driving sheep or cattle, 2/6. All other dogs, 10/-. No registration shall be deemed to be effected unless the tee of 1/- has been paid for an approved remedy for the cure or prevention of hydatid disease in dogs. NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes to raise a Loan under the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, by a loan to be known as “Stormwater Drainage Additional Loan, 1947,” for the purpose of completing the Council’s Stormwater Drainage | Scheme, 1939, as follows: j Installing stormwater drainage,) I carrying out modifications to the | j sanitary sewerage system and flood protection works, constructing new bridges and approaches thereto, acquiring the necessary land and meeting the cost of surveys and fencing. The proposed security for the repayment of the loan, together with interest thereon, is a special rate of decimal two three five pence (0.235 d) in the pound (£) upon the rateable i value (on the basis of the unimproved value - ) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei. It is proposed that the loan or any part thereof, the interest rate on which shall not exceed three pounds five shillings (£3/5/-) per centum per annum, shall be repaid by the annual redemption of debentures extending 'over a term of twenty (20) years. It is intended to pay out of the loan the costs of raising the loan but it is not intended to pay out of the loan any part of the interest or loan repayment.
