BURGLARY
PALMERSTON N.— Thieves broke into two work-shops owned by J. E. Southgaie, Ltd., and situated in separate parts of Otaki. From one they removed a safe and a motor car and the safe*- at the other shop was ransacked.
The police have recovered the stolen car and the empty safe. # Neatly stacked on the back seat of the car were all the books and cheques the safe had contained.
It is not yet known how much money was stolen, but the sum is believed to be substantial.—(Sp.)' * * *
