WELLINGTON. Fri. (Sp.'—Appointments in the Royal New Zealand Navy, announced by the New Zealand Naval Board yesterday are: — Commander G. R. Davis-Goff, D.S.C., R.N.Z.N., Naval Assistant fPersonnel) to the Second Naval Member, will shortly proceed to England for staff courses.
Commander A. B. Gilfillan, V.R.D.. j R.N.Z.N., Commander of the Dockyard. | Devonport, is appointed Naval Assist- , ant (Personnel' to the Second Naval. Member.
Commander J. H. Seelye. V.R.D.. R.N.Z.N.. Staff Officer (Operations). Navy Office. Wellington, is appointed Staff Officer to the Naval Officer-in-Charge, Auckland, and for the reserve fleet and dockyard. Commander L. P. Bourke. D.S.C. and bar. R.D., R.N.Z.N.. commanding officer H.IvI.N.Z.S. Tamaki, is appointed to H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel additional, and to H.IVI.N.Z.S. Arabis on commissioning.
Lieutenant-Commander C. C. Stevens, R.N.Z.N.. is appointed to H.M.K. Z.S. Tamaki in command and granted the acting rank of commander while holding this appointment. Lieutenant-Commander J. F. A. O'Neill. D.S.C.. R.N.Z.N.. commanding appointed to H.M.N.Z.S. Arbutus in ed to PI.M.N.Z.S. Bellona. Lieutenant-Commander B. E. Turner, R.N.Z.N., of H.M.N.Z.S. Bellona, is appointed to H.M.N.ZS. Arbutus in command*
Lieutenant I. Hall, D.S.C., R.N., of H.M.N.Z.S. Tamaki, is promoted to the rank of lieutenant-commander to date December 16, 1947.
