WELLINGTON—FaIIing 40ft over a cliff at Picton, William Porter, aged 18, of Devonshire Road, Wellington, suffered a fractured spine.

He was saved from still more serious injury through landing on his pack. The youth was brought back to Wellington ‘by' the Tamahine and admitted to hospital. His condition was reported to be satisfactory—(P.A.)
