One Killed When Car Overturns
CHRISTCHURCH, Wed. (P.A.).—One passenger was killed and three others injured when a car overturned on the Lewis Pass Road, 23 miles from Hanmer Springs yesterday. The driver of the car, Mr A. G. McConchie, and a four-year-old boy escaped injury. The man killed was: Mr Gordon Maxwell McConchie, aged 34, carpenter, of Mt Pleasant. The three injured were Mrs G. M. McConchie, Hugh McConchie, aged 16, son of the driver, and Mrs A. G. McConchie, wife of the driver.
