Girl Injured When Von Turns Over
Cut on the left hand by glass from a broken windscreen when the van in which she was riding capsized between Ruawai and Matakohe. a 17-year-oid girl was admitted to the Northern Wairoa Hospital on Monday. She was Miss Audrey Ellis, Putaruru, who is staying with her grandparents. Mr and Mrs A. J. Ellis, Ruawai.
Driven by Mr Ellis, the van overturned when it swerved sharply to avoid a collision with a car on a road corner, about five miles on the Matakohe side of Ruawai. Taken to the Northern Wairoa Hospital in the St. John Ambulance, the girl's injuries were reported to be only slight.
