Moves To Boost DoSiosr Eornieigs
CANBERRA, Wed. (11 a. m.)— Important moves to boost Australia’s dollar earnings have been announced. Export quotas for certain goods have been increased and new suggestions for raising Australian exports will be considered by the Federal Cabinet on Monday. The following percentages of current production may be exported in the under-mentioned commodities: Non-worsted woollen fabrics, 26; woollen. blankets, 20; woollen neckties, 5 non-worsted woollen yarn, 16 2-3: hand knitting' yarns, 25; wool and mixed wool and cotton underwear and hosiery, 16; wool rugs and carpets. 20. corsets. 1. The Government is considering a fixed quota for men’s hats, the export o. which is now prohibited.
