Mrs Hugh Clerk
AUCKLAND. Wed. (Sp.)--Mrs Hugh Clark, of Hamilton Road, Herne Bay, widow of. Captain Clark, formerly well-known in the coastal trade, whom she married at Whangarci 66 years ago, died today in her 91st year as the result of injuries from a recent fall.
Captain Clark died in 1921. Mrs Clark was the daughter of Captain William Foote, who brought his family of 12 children io New Zealand from Newfoundland in his own barque, arriving in May. 1866. He established a timber mill at Huia.
