The Rev. Father R. O’Connell, rector of St. Gerard’s Redemptorist Monastery, Wellington, has received advice that the Very Rev. Father Edward Gallagher has been appointed Provincial of the Redemptorist Order in Australia and New Zealand. The second son of Viscount Bledisloe. a former Governor-General of New Zealand, the Hon. H. C. 11. Bathurst, accompanied by his wife, is expected to arrive by fiyingboat from Australia today on a visit to New Zealand. Mr Bathurst was last in the Dominion in 1928 with Mr E. C. Lysaght, now joint manager of the firm of John Lysaght. Ltd., sheetmetal manufacturers, United Kingdom, who arrived from Australia yesterday. Mr Bathurst is also connected with the firm, having joined it at the age of 19 years after he had graduated from Cambridge University.
