Dunedin Amusement Park Opens-Tuesday
DUNEDIN. Tue. (P.A.)—With only a week to the official opening of the centennial amusement park at . the Caledonian ground, work began this morning with the construction of the first of 26 attractions that will entertain visitors from next Tuesday night. Speedways, roll-downs, darts and the usual run of the fair variety of entertainments will be offering, as well as an assortment of bright novelties including some items to be presented for the first time in Now Zealand.
Evening entertainment will be provided by the Centennial Association as a free supplement to the amusement park proper. At 8.30 p.m. next Tuesday the Mayor (Mr D. C. Cameron) will perform the official opening ceremony and will throw the switch that will turn on all the centennial lights in and around Dunedin.
