Labour Party Refuses Union's Cheque
MELBOURNE. Tue. (11 a.m.)— The Victorian Labour Party has refused to accept a cheque of £SO from the Australian Seamen’s Union because it claims the union is Communist-controlled. Officials of the union say they have been insulted. The money was voted to the fighting fund of the party, after a stop-work meeting of 560 seamen in Melbourne.
