M.P.s Visit The Forest
Members of the Lands Committee of the House of Representatives who are inspecting the Waipoua Forest are staying at Opononi until they complete their task. The committee reached Opononi on Tuesday. It is stated that the will devote its attention exclusively to the forest inspection and will refuse to receive deputations.
The inspection concludes tomorrow morning.
In Dargaville there has been some comment on the fact that Mr S. VV. Smith, M.P. for Hobson, was not included in the six M.P.s who are accompanying the Commissioner of State Forests (Mr Skinner).
