GLASSES
INVERCARGILL. Heavy losses of glasses have been experienced by the Invercargill Licensing Trust during the past four months. The total lost or broken in one hotel in that period has been 172 dozen. The secret-ary-manager of the trust, Mr E. B. Barnett, said yesterday that if glasses kept disappearing and being broken at the rate they had been, the time would come when customers would have to take their own containers to hotels when they wanted a drink. Glasses were in short supply and replacement was 'the 'trust’s main problem.— (P.A.)
