Mosley's New Policy
LONDON, Fri. (11 a.m.) —Sir Oswald Mosley announced that he is ready to begin a new “Union Movement” early in 1948.
Sir Oswald claimed that 51 organisations had offered to merge themselves in the new movement.
Reuter says these organisations include about a dozen Right-Wing groups, like the League of Ex-Service-men, the Union of British Freedom and a British section of the Ku Klux Klan. The League of Ex-Servicemen recently held a series of public meetings in London’s East End. ULTIMATUM TO RUSSIA
Tiie Russians would give way if they received an ultimatum before they discovered an atomic weapon for themselves, but war was certain if the rest of the world waited for German scientists, under compulsion, to supply Russia with the secrets of the atom, said Sir Oswald Mosley in his policy statement.
He would suppress Communists. They would not be hurt but they would not be heard.
He aimed to win power through the people's vote and to secure the “spiritual enthusiasm of the people for a new civilisation.”
His party would start collecting funds immediately and would put candidates into the political field as soon as possible.
