AUCKLAND.— Final figures in the Auckland City Council election place Mr A. Tron- ; son, 21st oil the list of successful candidates 884 votes ahead of the nearest Labour nominee, Mr D. J. Armishaw. A retiring councillor, Mr F. N. Ambler, with 25,147 votes, replaces Mr J. Coakl<?y at the top of the poll. The highest-placed Communist polled 34GG. (Sp.) * e *
