COMMISSION
WANGANUI.— Brigadier C. Jo. Rleasants, D. 5.0.. M.C., of th e staff of Wanganui Collegiate School, is taking up a permanent commission with the New Zealand Regular Staff. His company of the 19th Battalion repulsed the Germaii attack on the Servia Pass in Greece, one of the first actions fought by the New Zealand Division. He commanded the 18th Battalion during the North African campaign. Taken “ prisoner at Ruweisat Ridge, Brigadier Pleasants escaped the same night. He succeeded MajorGeneral H. K.
