WELLINGTON, Sat. (Sp.)—Defending the Nunneley Casket for the first time this season, Hull Valley had an advantage of one set over Wellington at the conclusion of the first day’s play yesterday. Each side won two singles and one doubles match. The match was completed today. Results (Hutt names first) are: Singles: Mrs Graham beat Mrs Painter o—l0 —1 B—G; Mrs Robb beat Mrs McVay 6—3, o—2; Miss McNeil lost to Mrs Green 2—G, G—4, 4—6; Miss Dudding lost to Miss Fleming 2—o, 2—o. D . . Doubles: Mcsdames Graham and Robb beat Miss Fleming and Mrs Green 6—4. 6—3: Misses McNeil and Dudding lost to Mesdames McVay and Painter I—o. 7—9.
