COINS
AUCKLAND.—A shipment of the’new issue of cupro-nickel coins from the Royal Mint was discharged from the Port Lino motor ship Port Philip at Auckland yesterday morning and distributed by motor trucks to banks in the city. The shipment was worth £126,000 and weighed just over 16 tons. Each of the 252 boxes in the consignment contained v £SOO worth of half-crowns, florins, shillings and sixpences, the first of the new coinage which is to be circulated in New Zealand from Monday.—(Sp.) * * * ;
