WELLINGTON. Sat. (P.A.L—The New Zealand Waterside Workers' Union has requested the Federation of Labour to- make an immediate application for a further general wage increase of £l.
Announcing this, the national secretary of the union (Mr T. Hill) said there was dissatisfaction among branches among the country at the way the benefits of the recent 10 - increase had been so quickly lost through the spiraling cost of living.
