Shipping Freight Rotes Increased
WELLINGTON, Sat. (P.A.)' The New Zealand Shipowners’ Federation announced today that the New Zealand shipping industry had been granted an increase in rates of freight in the coastal, intercolonial and Pacific Islands trade, effective as from November 1 in substitution for the Government subsidy. The extent of the increase varies according to the trade and commodity. Schedules embracing the new rates arc in course of preparation.
