Arabs, Jews Mobilise

(Rec. 1 p.m.) JERUSALEM. Oct. 17. Mohamed Nimr Hawari, commander-in-chief of the joint Arab military organisations Najadda and Futuwa, appealed in Jaffa to Arab youths to register immediately for “military duty in defence of the Motherland.” Fosters declared:

“Arab youth must be prepared to shed their blood cheaply. Every malingerer will be treated as a traitor.” Sheik Mustafa Numin, delegate of the Moslem Brotherhood organisation, told a Press conference in London today that 10.000 Brotherhood volunteers had reached the Egypt-Palestine border and 4003 had reached the SyriaPalestine border.

They were ready for any sacrifice to rid themselves of foreign rule or domination.

RECRUITING BEGINS

A campaign opened today to enlarge the ranks of Haganagh.

Posters in large Jewish cities and settlements called on Jews and Jewesses between the ages of 15 and 50 to register between October 19 and 30 for civil duties.
