Woman Killed When Van Mounts Footpath
(P.A.) DUNEDIN, This Day. Instant death was the fate of one of two women who were struck by a delivery van when it skidded on a wet roadway and careered across a footpath. She was: Mrs Elsie Chalmers Pimm, aged 47, of 16 Pine Hill Terrace, Dunedin. Mrs Hilda Young, aged 39, widow, 18 Pine Hill Terrace, was admitted to hospital suffering from concussion and abrasions. The two women had been shopping and were standing on the pavement talking when the accident occurred.
