Contradict Message About Wanganella
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This’ Day. Cable and Co., the Wanganella repair contractors, queried by cable a London message cabled yesterday regarding a proposal to build a forepart for the Wanganella in Belfast and tow it to Australia. Harland and Wolff, whose shipyards were reported to be making a new forepart, have replied that the message was “entirely groundless.’ An earlier cable from London read:
Harland and Wolff stated that the new forepart being constructed at Belfast for the WanganeHa will not be towed to Australia, but will be shipped in sections.
