Foresees Peace In India Soon
(Special). AUCKLAND, This Day.
At the invitation of the New Zealand Government, Mr Mirza Rafi, Pakistan delegate to the Canberra conference on the Japanese peace terms, and Brigadier Sher Ali Khan, his military adviser, are making a brief visit to New Zealand. They arrived by air from Sydney yesterday. Referring to the widespread violence in the Punjab, Mr Rafi pointed out that Pakistan had only just come into being. It was barely a month old and had its own problems and he was positive that they would be solved successfully.
However, it would take a little time and the Indian Governments were determined to see that law and order was introduced immediately.
