Otaika
Mi- George Edge was the guest of honour last. Saturday evening when settlers in the Otaika-Kaigoose Valley congregated at the home of Mrs Tavinor sour and Mrs Potter. The entertainment was held ai. an expression of appreciation of the obliging manner in which, for over 20 years, Mr Edge carried out his contract of carting the cream from the valley to the main road ,and of delivering back various goods and parcels. During the evening Mr Edge was presented with a barometer and a cigarette lighter. The Otaika Women's Mission Guild held a meeting last Tuesday afternoon at the home ol' the oresident (Mrs J. Middleton). Mrs Sam Poolman, of Onehunga. has been the guest of her mother. Mrs J. Middleton, during, the holidays. Mr and Mrs Budge and family have left the district to reside in Whangnrei.
