16-Foot Yacht Sails Safely To Auckland
Skippered by Mr H. Miller and carrying a crew of two, the 16-foot Whangarei yacht Muru made a trip to Auckland without incident. Mr Miller set out with the mornjing tide on Saturday last and put into Mansion House Bay (Kawau) for the night. The weather was 100 rough on Sunday for the run to Auckland so the ( skipper decided to wait until the wind i dropped in the evening. I The wind abated later in the day. and sailing all night, they made the inner harbout at 6 o'clock on Monday morning.
