Liner Athenic Here On Maiden Voyage
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The second of four 15,000-ton passenger liners built for the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company since the fend of the war, .the Athenic, arrived this morning on her maiden voyage from London via Panama, with more than 80 passengers. Commanded by Captain D. .Aitchison, the Athenic is a sister ship to the Corinthic, which visited Auckland in June.
The quartet of sister ships will be completed by the Gothic and Ceramic, which are being built in the north of England.
