Christchurch Mayoralty
(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. There will be a three-cornered contest for the Christchurch Mayoralty. The Citizens' Association announced at the week-end that Mr E. H. Andrews, the sitting Mayor, would be its candidate. The deputy-Mayor (Mr M. E. Lyons), whose name was also considered by the association, has announced that he will be an independent candidate. The Labour candidate is Mr D. Barnes, former M.P. for Waitaki.
