Reach Firsal In N.Z. Billiards Title
(Special.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The final of the New Zealand amateur billiards championship will be contested today by J. J. Shepherd, of Auckland, the 1945 champion, and C. Peek, of Wellington. Shepherd defeated A. Twohill, of the West Coast, by 066 points to 477 in the first semi-final yesterday, and Peek beat W. Smith, of Canterbury, 666-581. after a dour struggle, in which each appeared over-cautious of leaving his opponent an opening.
