Auckland's 21-15 Win At Christchurch
(Special) CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. After being down 3—6 at half time. Auckland beat Canterbury 21—15 at Lancaster Park yesterday.
Auckland scored three tries, one converted, two penalty goals and a potted goal to two wins * and three penalty goals. Although there w r as a great deal of bright open football, it was not a very brilliant exhibition.
The Auckland players appeared stale and again failed to show the type of team play expected. A pleasing feature was the improvement shown by the forwards in quick rucking and heeling. The improvement was evidence that in this phase at least they have learned something from the tour.
