Pottery Research
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day. Work for the New Zealand Pottery and Ceramic Manufacturers’ Research Association will be done by Mr Wilfred Vose, who has arrived in Wellington from Britain. Mr Vose has honours degrees in physics and chemistry. He holds the special medal of the London City and Guilds and is a member of the Institute of Chemistry and Ceramic Society of Great Britain. Mr Vose said that New Zealand was as well placed as other countries for the raw materials necessary in the ceramics industry, but special problems remained to be examined. The aim of the research he was going to direct was to secure the full utilisation of indigenous raw materials to produce the highest grade of goods artistically and technically on the most economical basis.
