Maunu
There was a good attendance at the August meeting of the Maunu Women’s Institute. The president (Mrs Snell) welcomed two new members, Mesdames Palmer and O’Meara. Four parcels were packed for England. Mrs Snell gave a demonstration on cushion making. The following ladies received shoulder sprays for their birthdays: Mesdames H. T. Snell. A. J. Matthews. G. E. Matthews (July). 11. Hawken. A. O. Steventon and Miss Carter (August). The hostesses for the day were Mesdames B. P. Hawken and 11. J. Roberts.
