(Rec. 1 p.m.) LONDON, July 4. The American Ambassador (Mr Lewis Douglas) speaking at the Embassy's Fourth of July Dinner in London, at which Mr Bevin was the guest of honour, said: “Mr Bevin is symbolic of the stotuness of heart, stability and endurance of the great principles of human liberty. “The light which guarded those principles in your country and mine is undimmed. “It will guard us unfailingly to the future we seek.”
