Indonesian Answer To Dutch Proposals
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) BATAVIA. July 4. The former Prime Minister (Sjahrir) has resigned the chairmanship of the Republican negotiating delegation with the Dutch.
The new Sjarifuddin Cabinet is meeting tonight to draft its reply to Dr van Mook’s request for clarification of Dr Soekarno’s answer to the Dutch Intei'im Government proposals. The answer is expected to climax the five weeks’ crisis over the implementation of the Linggadjati agreement.
Sources close to the Cabinet say it will be conciliatory and will give a definite answer to points raised by Dr van Mook.
