Many Seek Jobs On Waterfront

AUCKLAND, This Day,
At the rate of 20 interviews an hour, officials of the Auckland branch of the Waterside Workers’ Union are meeting applicants to be included in the addition of more than 100 new members.
The interviews began yesterday morning and as more than COO applicants will be seen the list will not be completed until Saturday morning. An agreement to increase the total number of waterside workers on the labour engagement bureau was reached last month by the- Auckland Port Committee.
