Yugoslavs Lose Semi-Final Doubles

(Rcc. 11.0 a.m.) ZAGREB. June 15 Yugoslavia, who yesterday won boll the first singles in the European zone semi-final for the Davis Cup. lost the doubles today. The South Africans. Sturgess and Fannin, beat Mitic and Pallada, o—3 7—5, 7 —5.
The South Africans had match point seven times in the third set before they won a hard-fought match. The Czechoslovakian Davis Cup team reached the final of the European zone competition by .winning the first three matches from France. J. Drobny beat B. Destremeau 6 —2. 6—o. G—l, and V. Cernik beat M Bernard, the champion of France. 2—<> 9 7(i 4, 4 — c. G—4. In the doubles Drobny and Cernik beat J. Borotra and Y. Petra, 10—8. 14—12. 6-3.
